Without sound, durable electro-mechanical assemblies, your electronic systems would literally shut down operation and put your organization at serious risk.
Finding the right electronic manufacturing partner will save you time and money. Unfortunately, many electronic manufacturers do not produce assemblies to the specifications or standards required for today’s businesses. At Electro-Prep, we are committed to the highest standards. We can help answer some of your most important questions when searching for an electro-mechanical supplier.
Q. How can I be sure Electro-Prep creates quality products?
A. Every company will tell you that they make quality products so it is important that you do a little digging. Electro-Prep’s manufacturing and quality processes are ISO-certified to ISO 9001:2008, which means we hold ourselves to a higher standard than most companies. Being ISO-certified means we take our quality very seriously, making sure all our products are manufactured to our high standards. Companies holding this certification are audited on a regular basis, which is why you can count on a consistent process and high quality in everything we do. We are also certified and build to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Workmanship Standards and J-STD soldering standards in addition to our UL listing, CSA certification, ROHS compliance, and Mil-Spec standards.
Q. What exactly is an ISO 9001:2008 certification?
A. ISO is a Quality Management System which features consistent, documented processes whose implementation should yield results designed to meet and exceed customer requirements. This standard employs benchmarking, root cause analysis, and corrective action to build a culture of continuous improvement. An ISO company will always strive to be better.
Q. What are IPC/WHMA-A-620 Workmanship and J-STD-001 Soldering Standards?
A. These standards establish clear guidelines for both workmanship standards and soldering operations in building wire harness and cable assemblies. These standards also require employees to receive ongoing training by an in-house trainer to ensure that they meet these standards. We are proud to say that Electro-Prep has been certified to both the IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 standards. This shows just how serious we are about our business and ensures you will benefit from best practices, ongoing training and top-rated expertise.
Q. How quickly can I get a quote and what is the lead-time for shipping new orders?
A. At Electro-Prep, we are able to respond to the majority of quote requests within 48 hours complete with competitive pricing. New orders can typically ship within two to five weeks depending on material availability, complexity of the build, quantity, and volume of backlog. With the majority of our orders shipping via UPS, we utilize an instant email notification system so someone in your company is always notified of the shipment and delivery status of your order.
Q. Can Electro-Prep handle orders for prototype designs?
A. Prototype designs are perfectly acceptable. For all first-time builds or revision changes, we recommend that you approve the first piece before going into production. This way, our production process as well as your design, is confirmed before much production time or materials are committed. During the quoting process, experienced engineering specialists may offer design and/or component options to better save our customers’ time and money.
Q. Can I supply consigned materials for the build or will Electro-Prep buy the materials?
A. Electro-Prep is happy to accommodate either option to best fit your needs. Also, we can store materials here at Electro-Prep if needed.
Q. What can I expect from the customer service
A. At many companies, you will be passed through a myriad of people without anyone developing a clear understanding of your needs. We understand the importance of customer service to find quick responses to your inquiry whether it’s a question on a quote, delivery times, or any problem you run into. At Electro-Prep, we provide a professional, friendly and knowledgeable service to our customers. Please contact us for answers to any additional questions you may have or request a quote today.
